We recently added Cleanflix to the DBRL collection. The film has played at various film festivals and currently has a rating of 95% from audiences at Rotten Tomatoes. Here’s a synopsis from our catalog:

Dozens of Utah DVD retailers attracted unwanted attention from Hollywood heavyweights when, in the name of conservative family values, they began sanitizing films of sex, nudity, profanity, and violence. Outraged over the unauthorized editing of their work, prominent filmmakers began to speak out, thrusting the two groups into an intense legal, theoretical, and moral battle that would last six years before coming to a shocking conclusion.

When two friends tape-recorded the fights of their violently noisy neighbors, they accidentally created one of the world’s first ‘viral’ pop-culture sensations. The tapes went on to inspire a cult following, spawning sell-out CDs, comic artworks, stage plays, music from the likes of Devo, and a Hollywood feeding frenzy.
