Columbia Access Television has uploaded a video featuring a documentary panel discussion from the Citizen Jane Film Fest back in October. We have films in our collection from most of the panelists, including Julia Reichert (A Lion in the House), Mary Makely and Kathy Conkwright (The Carter Family) and Kerri Yost (Neither Here Nor There). During the course of the panel they mention several documentaries in the library collection such as The Arbor, Gasland, An Inconvenient Truth and About a Son. A couple of other videos from Citizen Jane are also online including an animation nation panel and an animation workshop video.

For a unique look behind the True False Film Festival check out KBIA’s video of a Truth on Film Panel. Originally broadcast during the weekly KBIA Intersection radio program in Feburary 2011, the show features three organizers of the True False Film Fest and two local film professors. The hour long show is broken up into two parts: One discussing current documentary film-making, and the second half focusing on the True False Film Fest selection process.
During the show they mention several documentaries that are available at DBRL including Exit Through the Gift Shop, Hoop Dreams, Catfish, Gasland, and Nanook of the North. You can also check out past True False Film Fest movies at DBRL as well.
